I have always been drawn to natural elements throughout my design work. Marble is a stone that showcases imperfections as beauty, it embodies drama creating character and quantifies its forever unique existence with its grace of age. Implicating this raw 200 million year old stone, I have used modern water marbling techniques to capture its timeless elegance. In order to emphasise and pay attention to the detail in the paint, I have created a simple and structured tailored suite which accentuates the broad shoulder of the man, through the use of padding and tailoring techniques applied. This exemplifies my initial inspiration and homage to the ideal male figure, shown through research of marble statues displayed throughout my folio research.
