FALL/WINTER 2021/2022
Comfort Culture” takes inspiration from COVID-19 and the increasing trend of comfort wear within the fashion industry. This project developed from spending time within the home environment, analysing the effects and emotional connection I developed to the home I began to think about the feelings and connection we share to many objects. Incorporating inspiration from the home body in which surround us, this project focuses on the utilisation of objects and bringing these objects to life. The incorporation of unconventional materiality such as the use of bedding fabrications is showcased. Furthermore, this project investigates aspects of psychology and physiology highlighting our interrelationship to objects and how cloth has the ability to invoke comfort.
